Professor Bunnage obtained a BSc(Hons) 1st class degree from the University of Bristol before completing his M.Psych(Neuro) degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Melbourne. He susequently returned to the UK and took up a post as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, while simultaneously completing his PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology at Bristol University. Professor Bunnage initially worked within Neuropsychiatry at the Rosa Burden Centre and community brain injury rehabilitation at the Head Injury Therapy Unit, Frenchay. He then worked within the Neurosurgery service at Frenchay. After completing his PhD he took up the post of Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Lead at the Head Injury Therapy Unit, where he stayed for 5 years, while simultaneously developing his lecturing role at Bristol University. He became Clinical Director of postgraduate training in Clinical Neuropsychology at Bristol University in 2010 and moved his clinical role to become Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Lead for neuropsychology at North Bristol NHS Trust in 2013. In 2016 he became Head of Neuropsychology at North Bristol NHS Trust. Professor Bunnage has also maintained a private practice since 2007 and accepts between 20-30 new instructions per year. Professor Bunnage is a Chartered Psychologist, an HCPC registered practitioner psychologist and appears on British Psychological Society's Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists. He regularly engages in CPD and peer review with senior colleagues.
